  Men's Evangelism

 - Seasonal Care Packages -

 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Beginning in 2008, a few of the men at Carrollwood sat down one night to discuss how to reach out to the community and to express their conviction they had felt for not having some type of program in place.  The men felt convicted that the woman of Carrollwood "the silent soldiers" had their own programs in place during the Christmas season for the missionaries.  So the men got together with the women and came up with the concept of putting together "seasonal care packages" so that the men could go out and distribute these packages to the homeless in and around the Tampa Bay area.  

The packages include either the New Testament or the Gospel of John and your basic necessities: soap, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, pair of socks, candy, gift card to a restaurant, and pre-stamped envelope.  On average, each year the men have successfully distributed approximately 60 packages.
